Chalet Bonjour-Versoye, Ski Chalet Montchavin la Plagne
Chalet Bonjour-Versoye, built in the traditional alpine style, has an interior beautifully finished in pine, giving a warm and relaxed atmosphere. Our Chalet Bonjour-Versoye is located in the
picturesque mountain village of Montchavin, which is an authentic Savoyarde village and vibrant ski station, at the heart of the la Plagne and les Arcs Paradise ski area. Stunning panoramic
views of the Tarentaise valley with, framed centre stage, the unforgettable Mont Blanc. Montchavin is charming and, is perhaps the prettiest French ski village. The chalet accommodation
sleeps 17 (13 adults + 4 children) in 6 en-suite bedrooms.
Situated just 50 metres from the bubble and piste, it is also only 250 metres from the high-speed chair lift, which connects with the Vanoise Express cable car to les Arcs. It has easy
access to ski hire, ski school meeting points, bars, restaurants, the crêche and the night-club. Chalet Bonjour-Versoye is perfectly situated for skiing all of the Paradise ski area. A few minutes
after leaving the chalet, you can be riding the spectacular Vanoise Express double-decker cable car (Europe’s largest) to les Arcs, which effectively doubles the ski area available from the
doorstep.
For a traditional free-standing alpine chalet, not an apartment, or accommodation situated over shops, this is ideal. Full of charm and character, the headboards on the beds of the second
floor of this chalet are carved to copy and describe the mountain view from that particular window. The pretty bedrooms, although small, have comfy beds and well fitted bathrooms. The warm,
welcoming sitting and dining rooms complete the picture.
In holiday periods, the chalet is ideal for families, with little mezzanine areas to fit the children at low cost, to avoid breaking the bank. At other times, the bedrooms are best used without
the mezzanines and the chalet then comfortably sleeps 13 adults.
Rooms and Layouts of Chalet Bonjour-Versoye in Montchavin la Plagne
Please refer to our chalet floor-plans and room descriptions to
see how the rooms are arranged, and the cuisine page to see a selection of menus. Chalet Bonjour-Bivouac is on three
levels with bedrooms on the ground and top floors.
- Dining Room
Leading from the chalet entrance hall, reached from the large terrace on the first floor, the dining room seats 16 at two tables. There are large picture windows with views over the village.
- Sitting Room
Leading from the dining room is the cosy sitting room where afternoon tea is taken. There are board games and a computer.
- Bedrooms
There are six bedrooms, two on the first floor and four on the second floor, all having bathrooms and toilets en-suite, with a mixture of doubles, twins and family rooms. No two bedrooms are
the same and although they are smaller than most bedrooms in Ski Bonjour chalets, they have comfy beds and are very pretty in true Alpine style. The quality of their soft furnishings adds to
the mountain feel of the chalet. Each bedroom has a flat-screen UK TV. Most of the rooms are within range of our free Wi-Fi network for those who bring their own laptops or handhelds.
Unlike many chalets, all bedrooms are lockable. All beds have individual reading lights and there are spare mains sockets in each room for charging mobiles, computers, toothbrushes, etc.
Towels are changed midweek. All bathrooms benefit from an abundant supply of hot water although, as energy costs in France are high, we do ask that people use these with care.
- Heated Boot Room
On the ground floor is the ski and boot room with the staff accommodation adjacent.
- Sun Terrace
Outside the first floor chalet entrance is a large sun terrace, where those not skiing can top up their tan on sunny days.
